The Delhi government has announced free travel in DTC buses for candidates appearing for the NEET examination on June 21.

Making the announcement, Delhi Health and Transport Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh said candidates will only need to show a valid admit card to avail of the free travel facility.

"Students appearing for the NEET examination must present their valid admit cards while boarding the bus, after which no fare will be charged to them. Free bus services will be provided to them," Transport Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh told ANI.

Emphasising the government's commitment to student welfare, the Minister added, "The Delhi Government is committed to providing them with the best possible facilities... Students will not be required to purchase tickets on DTC buses."

The move is expected to benefit thousands of candidates travelling across the city to reach their examination centres smoothly.

In tandem with the student outreach initiative, the Transport Minister also shared updates on Delhi's public transport infrastructure and announced the upcoming launch of hydrogen fuel cell buses in the national capital.

"... Very soon, hydrogen buses will start running on the roads of Delhi. If their operation keeps a healthy environment in Delhi, we will increase them further," he said.

The Delhi government said free travel in DTC buses will be provided to all NEET candidates on June 21 to help them reach their examination centres on time without additional stress and appear for the examination with confidence.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that the time, hard work and future of the youth are extremely important and added that the government is committed to ensuring students receive every possible support during their education and competitive examinations.

The government stated that examinations such as NEET are closely linked to the lives and futures of students, and it is the responsibility of the administration to provide support and convenience on the day of the examination so that candidates do not face unnecessary stress or difficulty.

Extending her wishes to all NEET aspirants, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the examination is an opportunity to give a new direction to their hard work, dedication and dreams. She urged candidates to appear for the examination with confidence and wished them a bright future.

She also appealed to all NEET candidates to show their admit cards to the bus conductor while travelling on DTC buses on June 21 and avail themselves of the free facility provided by DTC.

Punjab Govt Announces Free Bus Travel For NEET-UG Re-Exam Candidates

Earlier, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab announced free bus travel for all students appearing for the NEET UG re-examination on June 21, in Punjab Roadways buses.
