PM Surya Ghar Delhi Portal Launch: Delhi residents seeking relief from high monthly electricity bills have a reason to celebrate. The Delhi government on Monday launched the online portal for installing solar panels under the Delhi PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
According to the Solar Portal, the facility to submit online applications started at 2:30 PM on September 21, 2026, allowing residents across the capital to submit their applications starting today.

Applicants can apply directly through the Delhi government's official Delhi Solar Portal by following these steps:
- Visit the official Delhi Solar Portal.
- Navigate to the "Apply for Rooftop Solar" section.
- Complete the online application by entering your current electricity connection details and solar installation preferences.
Financial Subsidies Under Delhi PM Surya Ghar Scheme
Households applying under the scheme will benefit from subsidies provided by both the central and state governments.
Central Subsidy Breakdown
- Up to 2 kW capacity: Rs 30,000 per kW
- 2 kW to 3 kW capacity: Rs 18,000 per kW
- Above 3 kW capacity: Central subsidy capped at a maximum of Rs 78,000
State Subsidy Breakdown
Rs 10,000 per kW for domestic consumers, up to a maximum limit of Rs 30,000.
Generation-Based Incentive (GBI):
- Up to 3 kW: Rs 3 per unit of solar power generated
- 3 kW to 10 kW: Rs 2 per unit generated
