In a shocking incident, a techie allegedly died by suicide after killing his wife on her birthday at their rented apartment in Gurugram. The deceased have been identified as Mohammad Aslam (30) and his wife Farhana. Both of them were techies and belonged to Kerala and were employed in Bengaluru before moving to Gurugram three months ago.
Before the incident, the man allegedly sent an e-mail to his employer stating, "We are leaving the world."
The man has also left behind a suicide note echoing similar words as in email. While Farsana's body was lying on the floor of the apartment in the M3M Marina residential society with injuries on her neck, Aslam's body was found hanging.
Their bodies were found after their landlord was alerted by Aslam's colleagues and he reached the flat. The door of the apartment was open. The woman's clothes were found written with 'I Love you'. The police were informed and they subsequently reached the site.

The investigating team recovered three laptops, a rope, a diary, two mobile phones, a pen drive and a pair of scissors from the apartment and sent them to forensics for examination.
Prima facie police suspects that Aslam killed Farhana before hanging himself to death. The police have registered a murder case under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The family members have claimed that Aslam was undergoing treatment for depression for one-and-half years but the couple had no marital discord. They shared a close bond. The family alleged excessive work pressure could have forced him towards the extreme step. Apart from examining the evidence, the cops are awaiting post-mortem report to ascertain the reason and circumstances behind their deaths.
Farhama was employed at an IT firm and was working from home while Aslam was an NIT Calicut and IIM Indore alumnus.
