MP News: A video of a conversation between Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and a resident in Guna, Madhya Pradesh, went viral on social media. In the video, a local person is heard saying that people would not vote in the upcoming elections if the road isn't built on time.

Hearing this, Scindia became enraged and said, "Never use this kind of language in front of me. I understand your issue." When the man attempted to explain, Scindia interrupted him, saying, "I'm talking about everyone. You come and request it; it's my responsibility to get the job done. Okay!"

The incident happened during Scindia's visit to Guna when locals stopped his convoy. Residents raised the issue of long-pending construction and dilapidated roads. They stated that the poor condition of the road causes daily commute difficulties for residents.

Meanwhile, a man approached his car and urged Scindia that it would be good if the road was built on time; otherwise, people would not vote during the elections.

 

Congress Takes Arrogance Jibe At Scindia

Reacting to the viral video, Congress said people are watching everything, and they will end his arrogance. "Look at the arrogance of power! When the people asked for a road, ‘Bhai Sahab’ got angry.

He said, "Don’t speak to me in that language in front of me; make a request to me." Should the people make a request when they ask questions? What kind of democracy is this? What kind of arrogance is this? The people are watching everything: The people will give their answer to this arrogance," MP Congress wrote on its official X handle.

Soon after the incident, the issue of road construction took centre stage in the political debate in Madhya Pradesh. Subsequently, Scindia approved Rs 3 crore for the road construction at a public event. The amount will reportedly be released from the MLA fund. Pannalal Shakya represents Guna in the MP Assembly. The Union Minister also directed the district collector to begin road construction work after the monsoon season ends.
