As he took the U-turn, the leaders from his former alliance came down heavily at the 9th Bihar CM. At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President JP Nadda, and several other leaders of the saffron regiment extended a warm welcome to Kumar.

BJP Might Get Steering Of Bihar Govt With Nitish Tying With NDA
There are 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar and NDA wants to win all the seats in the general elections. While Nitish has been able to retain his position as the Chief Minister in the state in the last decade, his popularity and his party's electoral performance have seen a steady decline. As he joined hands with the BJP, despite being the CM, the BJP will have full freedom to run the government. Be it RJD or BJP, Nitish Kumar's 'political power' has declined. In such a situation, the BJP knows that even if Nitish Kumar is allowed to retain the post of Chief Minister, it will have more control over the decisions of the Bihar government than the JDU.
