The 5.5 km-long Chilla Elevated Road, which runs from Chilla Regulator to the Mahamaya Flyover, will be extended by approximately two kilometre. Authority CEO Krishna Karunesh has approved this extension.

The extension line is planned to be connected to a proposed 48-km-long elevated expressway from DND to Jewar. The detailed project report (DPR) will be prepared by IIT Roorkee. A presentation was made at the Noida Authority office, and the authority's CEO has approved it.

IIT Roorkee Preparing DPR

Approximately Rs 200 crore will be spent on the construction of the extension line. The structural design will also be developed by IIT Roorkee. This will benefit travellers commuting to Noida Airport by using this extension line to reach the DND Jewar Elevated Expressway. This extension line will also serve as a rotary.

Noida Airport Travel From Delhi Will Become Easier

Vehicles travelling from Delhi to Noida Airport and going to Noida will also be able to use it. Noida Authority General Manager (Civil) SP Singh stated that the IIT team recently re-surveyed the entire route for the DPR. Only after this was the proposal to increase the height.

The survey produced a detailed map of the physical and natural features of the land surface, accurately measuring land elevation, elevation, contour lines, vegetation, rivers, and man-made structures (buildings, roads).

Rs 200 Crore Budget

The DPR will be prepared based on this survey. Approximately Rs 200 crore will be spent. A soil test has been conducted for the construction. This test will provide information about the soil's bearing capacity. Based on this bearing capacity, the number and capacity of pillars will be determined, and the DPR will be prepared.
