Noida Workers Protest: Amid the probe into the Noida workers protest, the officials have revealed that some individuals were planning a large-scale Gen-Z protest similar to Bangladesh and Nepal. They stated that the young individuals with anti-establishment ideology was being contacted, recruited and groomed to serve as "sleeper cells". The investigators have recovered a diary in which the roadmap of the protest was being discussed by the planners, reported Jagran.com. A detailed probe has been launched to unearth more details regarding the involvement of these groups.
As per the report, one of the teams was responsible for identification of such Gen Z individuals in several regions of the country, including Delhi-NCR. The second team acted as recruiters, actively working to include them in their larger plans. The details of the planning were discovered in a diary, possibly belonging to Himanshu, one of the accused.
The officials have maintained that the findings point toward a conspiracy to organise a large protest to create unrest within the country. The report suggests that an "army" of Gen Z youth was being prepared for the protest- a similar protest dismantled the government in countries, including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal.
The police have information regarding 18 to 20 names listed in a 28-page diary who frequently express anti-government views on social media platforms, reported Jagran.com, citing reliable sources. As per the details discovered in the diary, a dedicated team of agitators works specifically on these individuals.

While providing details, Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh stated that the probe is underway, adding that the officials are trying to investigate all the possible angles for a better conclusion. The workers in Noida staged massive protest in April demanding better pay scale and working conditions. While the protest was held peacefully for first few days, it later turned violent, leading to the investigation.
