In response to the tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to cut short his ongoing visit to Saudi Arabia and return to India early, as reported by PTI Originally scheduled to return on Wednesday night, the Prime Minister will now leave Saudi Arabia tonight and arrive in India early Wednesday morning.

Skipping Official Dinner In Saudi Arabia

In light of the tragic events unfolding in Kashmir, PM Modi opted to skip the official dinner hosted by the Saudi government. Sources revealed that the decision to shorten his visit was made after considering the gravity of the situation in Pahalgam, where militants attacked tourists, killing at least 20 people.

The Prime Minister's immediate response to the crisis has been to convene an urgent meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) to discuss the situation and plan further actions. The committee, consisting of top government officials, will assess the security situation and take necessary measures to address the threat posed by the terror attack.

Condemnation 

Earlier on Tuesday, Prime Minister Modi condemned the attack on tourists in Pahalgam, describing it as a heinous act of terrorism. In a post on X, the Prime Minister expressed his unwavering commitment to bringing those responsible for the attack to justice. "They (terrorists) will not be spared! Their evil agenda will never succeed. Our resolve to fight terrorism is unshakable and it will get even stronger," Modi wrote.

The Prime Minister also conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the victims' families and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. "I pray that the injured recover at the earliest. All possible assistance is being provided to those affected," Modi said in his statement.
