Pahalgam Terror Attack: The terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam in 2025 was planned and executed from Pakistan, the National Investigative Agency (NIA) has revealed in its chargesheet. The agency has stated that the terrorists received direct instructions from Lahore and also shared their real-time data and escape route on the day of the attack. Earlier in April 2025, the terrorists brutally killed 26 tourists in Pahalgam, leading to a massive outrage in the country.

Details From NIA's Chargesheet

Mastermind: Saifulullah, a Lashkar terrorist also known as Sajid Jatt or 'Langda', was the mastermind behind this attack. Operating from Lahore, he was issuing direct instructions to the terrorists present in Pahalgam.

Planning: Earlier in 2025, Saifullah dispatched three terrorists- Faisal Jatt, alias Suleiman; Habib Tahir, alias Chhotu; and Hamza Afghani- to the Baisaran Valley around mid-April. The terrorists observed the movement of tourists and security arrangements in the valley.

Local help: As per the investigation, two locals named Parvez and Bashir Ahmed also assisted the Pakistani terrorists in carrying out the deadly attack.

Pakistani terrorists disseminated a fabricated narrative of a "false flag operation", the claim that India itself orchestrated an attack on its own people, to mislead investigative agencies. The TRF, immediately after the attack, claimed responsibility on a Telegram channel named 'Kashmir Fight'. However, it later claimed that the account got hacked after facing international outrage.

Pakistan's Direct Involvement

The NIA has presented multiple digital and technical evidence in its charge sheet to show the direct involvement of Pakistan in the terror attack that killed 26.

Phones purchased from Pakistan: Two mobile phones were recovered from the terrorists killed during 'Operation Mahadev'. One phone was purchased online and shipped to the 'Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Estate' in Lahore, while the other was purchased from the 'Shahra' area of Karachi.
