New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: Flustered over India’s decision to abrogate Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan has secretly released Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar to carry out terror attacks, according to a Hindustan Times report which quoted Intelligence Bureau officials.
According to the report, Pakistan is planning terror attacks in Sialkot-Jammu and Rajasthan sectors and has started deployment of additional troopers as part of the plan.
Following the intel inputs, the security forces in Jammu and Rajasthan sectors have been alerted to avoid any "surprises" from Pakistan.
Recently, the Indian Navy had warned that an “underwater wing” of Jaish-e-Mohammed was training terrorists to enter Indian territory via sea route and carry out terror attacks.
On Friday, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan had threatened "fullest possible response" to India's move to revoke Article 370 which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir. Continuing his rhetoric against New Delhi over the J&K move, Khan had said that the global community would be responsible for any "catastrophic" aftermath.
Recently, India declared Azhar the first individual terrorist under the amended Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). The Ministry of Home Affairs, through a gazette notification, declared Azhar, LeT founder Hafiz Mohammad Saeed, Mumbai 26/11 attack mastermind Zakir Ur Rehman Lakhvi and 1993 Bombay blast accused Dawood Ibrahim as terrorists, which means that irrespective of the organisation they are associated with, they will be treated as terrorists under the Indian law.
Tensions between India and Pakistan spiked after India abrogated provisions of Article 370 of the Constitution to revoke Jammu and Kashmir's special status and bifurcated it into two union territories.
India has categorically told the international community that the scrapping of Article 370 was an internal matter and also advised Pakistan to accept the reality.
