Patna Bank Loot: Robbers targeted the bank, customers, and a finance employee at the Axis Bank branch in Bihta, Patna, on Saturday and fled after looting a total of Rs 19.50 lakh.
According to jagran.com, four masked criminals entered the Axis Bank located at Devkuli on the Bihta-Maner main road and fled after looting about Rs 17 lakh and 50 thousand kept in the bank's safe, Rs 41 thousand from a customer, Ganesh Chaudhary, who had come to the bank, and about Rs 1 lakh and 45 thousand from a micro-finance bank employee, totaling about Rs 19.50 lakh.
The armed criminals had locked all the bank staff and customers in a room. The miscreants threatened to kill them if they informed the police and carried out the robbery.
On receiving information about the incident, DSP Pankaj Kumar Mishra, along with the local police station, reached the area, cordoned off the area, and started a raid operation to arrest the miscreants. Policemen have started interrogating the customers and scrutinizing the CCTV footage.
