Health Update Of Pawan Kalyan's Son: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, in his first reaction on his son Mark Kalyan, who was hospitalised after being injured in a fire incident at his school in Singapore on Tuesday, said he would be flying to visit his child last night.

"I will be leaving for Singapore tonight. My son is going through a bronchoscopy under general anaesthesia today. I don't know what the long-term impact of it is. Singapore High Commissioner in India also conveyed their concern and said that whatever support is needed, it will be done. He's around seven years old. I would be leaving (for Singapore) by a 9:30 pm flight," said Sana Sena chief.

Health update on his son's injuries

He is going through bronchoscopy and will be on general anasthesia, Kalyan said, adding the problem is it will have a long-term impact.

PM Modi calls Pawan Kalyan

Kalyan told reporters that PM Modi called him and enquired about his son's health. "My whole-hearted gratitude to PM Modi for giving me a call and ensuring that everything is going to be alright. He gave a great support through the Indian High Commission in Singapore. They were supposed to attend a summer camp and there was a fire incident. When I heard about it, I thought it might be some kind of a simple incident, later I realised the magnitude of that. A kid lost his life in this and a lot of children are in the hospital right now..."

15 children hospitalised

Singapore's state-owned CNA, quoting the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), said at least four adults and 15 children were hospitalised after a fire broke out at a "shophouse" in Singapore's River Valley Road on Tuesday morning.

Among those hospitalised was Mark Kalyan, the younger son of Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan. The party, in an official statement, said that the fire reportedly caused injuries to Shankar's hands and legs, and the boy was immediately transferred to a local hospital where he is receiving treatment.
