Petrol Prices Today: Petrol and diesel prices in India have remained consistent despite significant volatility in international crude oil markets. According to the latest time, the price of petrol in India has been observed to be higher than in some of its neighboring countries. This discrepancy occurred primarily to higher taxes imposed on petrol in India.

Petrol Prices In Major Cities

On Thursday, several  major Indian cities witnessed a significant surge in petrol prices, while others saw a decrease.

Stable Prices: In the national capital, New Delhi, the price stands at Rs 94.77, while Kolkata remains at Rs 105.41. Other cities seeing no change include Chennai (Rs100.90), Bangalore (Rs 102.96), Bhubaneswar (Rs101.19), Chandigarh (Rs 94.30), Hyderabad (Rs 107.50), Jaipur (Rs 104.72), Lucknow (Rs 94.69), and Thiruvananthapuram (Rs107.48).

Decreased Price: Patna saw the most significant drop of Rs 0.89, bringing the price to Rs 105.23. Noida followed with a decrease of Rs 0.22 to reach Rs 94.90, while Mumbai saw a marginal dip of Rs 0.04, settling at Rs 103.50.

Increased Price: Gurgaon was the only city in this list to record an increase, with prices rising by Rs 0.15 to Rs 95.51.

Across the country, petrol prices are showing a mix of stability and slight downward trends, with several states and union territories seeing minor price cuts.

States With Price Stability

In a significant portion of the country, prices remain unchanged today. This includes major hubs like Delhi (Rs 94.77), Uttar Pradesh (Rs 94.69), West Bengal (Rs 105.41), Tamil Nadu (Rs 100.90), Telangana (Rs 107.50), and Karnataka (Rs 102.96). Other areas seeing no movement include Chandigarh (Rs 94.30), Chhattisgarh (Rs 99.44), Haryana (Rs 95.95), Jharkhand (Rs 97.86), Kerala (Rs 107.48), Odisha (Rs 101.19), Rajasthan (Rs104.72), and Sikkim (Rs 103.35).

States With Decreased Price

Several regions witnessed a plunge in fuel costs.

Significant Drops: Bihar recorded the biggest decrease at Rs 0.89 (Rs 105.23), followed closely by Mizoram with a Rs 0.78 drop (Rs 98.28). Nagaland also saw a notable reduction of Rs 0.44 (Rs 97.26).

Moderate Decreases: Prices cooled down in Andhra Pradesh (Rs 0.33), Arunachal Pradesh (Rs 0.35), Gujarat (Rs 0.32), Madhya Pradesh (Rs 0.31), and Uttarakhand (Rs 0.27).

Marginal Dips: Slight reductions were seen in Maharashtra (Rs 0.04), Punjab (Rs 0.07), Goa (Rs 0.09), and Meghalaya (Rs 0.11).

States With Increased Price

Only a few regions saw an surge in prices today. Tripura recorded the highest increase of Rs 0.16 (Rs 97.53), while Jammu & Kashmir rose by  Rs 0.14 (Rs 96.63) and Assam saw a minor bump of  Rs 0.07 (Rs 98.35).
