India marks its 76th Republic Day on January 26, commemorating the adoption of the Constitution in 1950. The Republic Day celebrations feature the unfurling of the national flag on Kartavya Path (formerly Rajpath), followed by a grand parade showcasing the valour of Indian armed forces. State tableaux highlight the cultural diversity of India, while military stunts, songs and dances enhance the spectacle.
A notable aspect of Republic Day celebrations is Prime Minister Narendra PM Modi’s unique outfits, which reflect India’s cultural heritage. For the past decade, his Republic Day attire has drawn significant attention.
