Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to lay the foundation stone of the Shri Kalki Dham Temple in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal district today. Shri Kalki Dham is being constructed by Shri Kalki Dham Nirman Trust, whose chairman is Acharya Pramod Krishnam. Many saints, religious leaders, and dignitaries will reportedly attend the event.

Acharya Pramod Krishnam was recently expelled by the Congress for six years over ‘anti-party’ remarks, days after he met the prime minister and invited him to lay the foundation stone. After being expelled from the grand old party, Krishnam asserted that compromise can not be done on ‘Ram and Rashtra’.

Krishnam had earlier slammed the Rahul Gandhi-led ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ and called it a ‘political tourism’. He said that the grand old party is travelling while other parties are gearing up for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Shri Kalki Dham Temple in Sambhal district around 10:30 am today. The prime minister, who will be on a day-long visit, will also address a gathering in the area.

The expelled Congress leader said that PM Modi would install the main stone in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple and called it a matter of ‘pride’. “It is a matter of pride for us that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be laying the foundation of Shri Kalki Dham today. PM Modi will reach here around 10: 25 am. PM Modi will install the main stone in the sanctum sanctorum of the Shri Kalki Dham,” Krishnam told news agency ANI.

Following the Sambhal event, PM Modi will launch 14,500 projects across Uttar Pradesh worth more than Rs 10 Lakh crore at the fourth groundbreaking ceremony in Lucknow for investment proposals received during the UP Global Investors Summit 2023 (UPGIS 2023) held in February 2023.

The prime minister’s office stated that nearly 5,000 people will attend the event, including businessmen, representatives from leading global and Indian firms, ambassadors and high commissioners, and other distinguished guests.
