PM YASASVI: The Prime Minister Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India (PM YASASVI), the scholarship award will be granted on the basis of merit this year as the National Testing Agency (NTA) has cancelled the entrance test that was scheduled for September 29, 2023, for selecting the candidates to award the scholarships.
The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, which is running the PM YASASVI programme notified the students will now be awarded the scholarships on the basis of merit prepared based on marks scored in Class 8 and 10 and not on exams as it put an extra burden on the applicants. Now, the PM YASASVI Merit List 2023 will be prepared on which the scholarships will be awarded.
In this list, all the eligible students will be named and they will get a scholarship from the Government. This Merit will be prepared on the basis of several factors among them one of the major factors is PM YASASVI Cut-Off Marks 2023.
Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment noted in an official release that candidates who scored 60 per cent or above in Class 8 and 10 are eligible to apply on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) portal. The students will be selected through the National Scholarship Portal.
What is the Prime Minister Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India (PM YASASVI)?
The scheme was introduced to benefit around 30,000 students from Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC), and Denotified Tribes (DNT) from top-class schools. The annual income of parents and guardians of these students should not be more than Rs 2.5 Lakhs.
Under the scheme, the students will be entitled to get a scholarship of upto Rs 75,000 per annum for Class 9/10. While the students of Class 11/12 will be granted ₹ 1,25,000 per annum. The amount will cover the school tuition fee/hostel fee of the students.

Candidates can apply Online for PM YASASVI Scheme 2023 at official yet.nta.ac.in.
Open the official website mentioned above.
Click on the Register button and then complete registration by Email ID and Mobile Number.
Fill in the Application Form with details such as School Name, Mother Name, Father Name, Class, Category, Marks in Previous Class and other details.
After verification, upload a photo and sign.
Submit the application form.
