The Karnataka sex scandal involving Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna has caused an intense furore across the political spectrum in the country. Over 1,700 obscene videos of the JDS leader were circulated in Karnataka before the second phase of voting in Lok Sabha polls. The clips purportedly depict Prajwal Revanna engaging in sexual activities with multiple women, including some government employees.

- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has constituted a special investigation team to probe the alleged sex scandal
- Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has asked the BJP to clarify if Prajwal Revanna was still a part of them, as there is an alliance between JDS and BJP in the state
-The women's wing of the Congress held a fervid protest against Prajwal Revanna and raised slogans against the 33-year-old, who is the grandson of JD(S) supremo and former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda. The protesters burnt his posters and sought a thorough inquiry into the case
