Puducherry Election Results 2021 Winners: Puducherry Assembly elections are set to be held in a single phase on April 9, counting of votes will take place on May 4. As the Union Territory gears up for a fresh political contest, here’s a look back at the results of the 2021 Assembly elections.

Puducherry Election Results 2021

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by the All India NR Congress (AINRC) along with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), emerged victorious in the 2021 Assembly elections.

The AINRC, under the leadership of N. Rangaswamy, played a crucial role in securing the alliance’s win. Together, the NDA crossed the majority mark in the 30-member Assembly, paving the way to form the government in the Union Territory.

Chief Minister Rangaswamy himself won from the Thattanchavady constituency, reinforcing his leadership in the region.

The NDA alliance secured several important seats across Puducherry:

  • Embalam - U Lakshmikandhan (NRC)
  • Indira Nagar - V Aroumougame (NRC)
  • Kadirgamam - S Ramesh (NRC)
  • Karaikal - PRN Thirumurugan (NRC)
  • Mangalam - Djeacoumar C (NRC)
  • Nedungadu - Chandirapriyanga (NRC)
  • Nettapakkam - P Rajavelu (NRC)
  • Raj Bhavan - K Lakshminarayanan (NRC)
  • Thattanchavady - N Rangaswamy (NRC)
  • BJP candidates also won key constituencies:
  • Kalapet - M L Kalyanasundaram (BJP)
  • Kamaraj Nagar - A Johnkumar (BJP)
  • Manavely - R Selvam (BJP)
