Punjab Terror Plot: Days After Delhi Red Fort Blast and Faridabad Terror Plot, Punjab Police on Thursday uncovered a grenade attack module backed by Pakistan's spy agency ISI, arresting 10 individuals. The accused were reportedly in contact with Pakistan-based handlers to carry out a grenade attack aimed at creating unrest in Punjab.
In a post on X, Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav wrote, "In a major breakthrough, Ludhiana Commissionerate Police busts an ISI-#Pakistan backed grenade attack module and arrests 10 key operatives of foreign-based handlers."
Initial investigations revealed that the accused coordinated with Pakistan-based handlers through three operatives based in Malaysia to manage the pickup and delivery of a hand grenade.

"The task was assigned by the handlers to carry out a grenade attack in a populated area to create unrest in the state," he added.
Punjab Police stated that they remain committed to eliminating terrorism and dismantling cross-border terror networks to ensure peace and security in the state. Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) is Pakistan's spy agency.
Faridabad Terror Plot
During operations in Faridabad’s Fatehpur Taga and Jammu and Kashmir, police recovered 2,563 kg of explosives packed in 50 sacks from the home of an imam, a close associate of terrorist Muzammil Shakeel, on November 12. Shakeel, a doctor from Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, is a key link in the interstate and transnational terror modules of Jaish-e-Mohammad and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind.
A day earlier, police recovered 350 kg of explosives along with arms and ammunition from a rented accommodation in Faridabad. According to initial probes, the recovered substance is likely ammonium nitrate.
Delhi Red Fort blast
In the latest update on the Delhi Red Fort blast, at least eight suspects had planned explosions at four locations and intended to travel to four cities in pairs. The attacks resulted in 12 deaths and occurred at 6:52 pm near Gate No. 1 of the Lal Qila Metro Station. Each group was expected to carry multiple IEDs. The Red Fort blast Terror accused Dr Muzammil, Dr Adeel, Umar, and Shaheen collectively raised around Rs 20 lakh in cash, which was handed over to Umar.
Earlier, officials confirmed that DNA tests established Dr. Umar Nabi as the driver of the Hyundai i20 that exploded near the Red Fort on Monday evening, killing 13 people and injuring 20 others.
On Wednesday, Delhi Police released fresh CCTV footage capturing the moment the Hyundai i20 exploded near the Red Fort traffic signal. The 11-second video shows the car detonating amid heavy traffic during peak hours, triggering chaos as flames engulf the vehicle and commuters flee the scene.
The footage shows the white Hyundai i20 halting at a red light on Subhas Marg, a busy stretch in Old Delhi, at 6:52 pm before exploding seconds later. The powerful blast sent shockwaves across the area and the country.
