In today’s fast-paced corporate world, stress has become an unavoidable part of professional life. Tight deadlines, increasing competition, long working hours and the constant pressure to perform have left many employees struggling to maintain a healthy work-life balance. To deal with the threat of this uninvited guest, Gen-Z has found a perfect escape by prioritising mental health, setting firm boundaries and openly discussing workplace anxiety.
The generation, which strongly advocates self-care and emotional well-being, has turned to various coping mechanisms, with one such measure being rage rooms. Specially designed for individuals to vent their frustration, the room allows one to release their mental stress by breaking bottles on the floor.

The first rage room, also known as an anger room, was created in Japan by Donna Alexander in 2008 to combat violence by giving people a safe place to release aggression. Later, the concept came to India in 2017, with Cafe Bhadaas in Indore.
With Gen Z, the concept has gained significant popularity, emerging as a trendy escape and an unconventional outlet for releasing pent-up anger and workplace stress. Places in India that offer rage rooms include Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and more.
