Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who is on a day-long visit to Rajasthan’s Jaipur distributed two-wheelers to meritorious girl students at Maharani College. Later, the Congress MP was seen riding pillion on a girl’s scooter in the state’s capital.

The video of Rahul Gandhi taking a ride pillion on a girl’s scooter has been shared widely by people on social media.

The Wayanad MP shared the pictures on X, formerly known as Twitter and was seen interacting with the students. "Empower women like Mimansha Upadhyay, and they'll lead our country to a brighter future," he wrote on X.

The official X handle of the Congress also shared the video of Rahul Gandhi taking a ride on a girl’s scooter and captioned it with, ‘Rajasthan mein Jan Nayak'.

Earlier in the day, the Congress MP was received by Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, convener of the core committee for state polls Sukhjinder Randhawa, party's state unit chief Govind Singh Dotasra at the Jaipur airport.

Rahul Gandhi along with party chief Mallikarjun Kharge laid the foundation stone of the new building of the Pradesh Congress Committee and also addressed a public rally in the poll-bound state.

Earlier in May this year, Gandhi took a joyful ride on a delivery boy’s scooter in Bengaluru, riding pillion on the man’s two-wheeler. The video was widely shared on the internet and the Congress MP was seen surrounded by a large crowd of supporters and party workers in Bengaluru.

During that time, Gandhi was campaigning for the May 10 Assembly elections in Karnataka. Netizens praised the Congress leader’s down-to-earth style of connecting with people on the ground.
