Railway News: The railway officials on Saturday stated that several trains will remain cancelled in the Chakradhar Railways division between August 9 and 26 due to maintenance work. They further informed that the other trains will face route diversion and short-term termination during this course of time. While providing details, the officials stated that the services will remain cancelled for five hours between Lota Pahar and Sonuva stations for 18 days. The authority informed that the railway tracks will be repaired with the help of the Track Renewal Train (TRT) machine, leading to cancellation of trains.
The authority stated that passengers from several states, including Jharkhand, Bihar, and West Bengal, are likely to be affected due to the maintenance work. It further advised them to follow the guidelines and plan their travel accordingly to avoid any inconveniences.
These trains to remain cancelled:
Train Number 18109/18110 Tata-Itwari-Tata Express will remain cancelled on August 9, 12, 16, 19, 23, and 26
Train Number 68043/68044 Tatanagar-Rourkela-Tatanagar MEMU will not operate on August 9, 12, 16, 19, 23, and 26
Train number 68025/68026 Chakradharpur-Rourkela-Chakradharpur Saranda MEMU will remain cancelled on August 9, 12, 16, 19, 23, and 26
These trains to face diversions:
Train number 18478 (Yoga Nagari Rishikesh-Puri Utkal Express) leaving from Rishikesh on August 8, 15, and 22 will operate via the diverted route Jharsuguda Road-Sambalpur City-Cuttack station to Puri
Utkal Express will remain cancelled between Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Chakradharpur, and Tatanagar stations on August 9, 16, and 23
Utkal Express will remain cancelled between Tatanagar, Chakradharpur, Rourkela, and Jharsuguda stations on August 12, 19, and 26
Train Number 18477 Puri–Yoga Nagari Rishikesh Utkal Express, leaving from Puri on August 11, 18, and 25, will operate via the diverted route Cuttack–Sambalpur City–Jharsuguda Road–Ib Station to Rishikesh
The railway has advised the passengers to plan their travel accordingly to avoid any inconveniences.
