Passengers can now easily book general tickets via mobile phone to avoid the hassle of waiting in long lines at ticket windows. The UTS mobile app has increased the trend of general ticketing on mobile. To take advantage of this, individuals must first download the UTS On Mobile app to their mobile device.

At the same time, to take advantage of this online service, you must have the same mobile phone with you that you used to book the ticket; only then will this ticket be valid. Tickets purchased via WhatsApp on other phones and with screenshots will be invalid. You will be considered ticketless if you book a general ticket on someone else's phone. However, if you book e-tickets for reserved categories, you can also request them via WhatsApp and show them to be valid.

You can book a general ticket from any station within a 20-kilometre radius using UTS Mobile. For example, if you are in Dhanbad and want to travel from Bhooli, Pradhankhanta, or another nearby station, there is no need to go there and buy a ticket. You can easily book general admission tickets from your mobile device.

To avoid a fine, ticketless passengers are not permitted to book tickets via mobile while seated in the train or on the platform. The app will not function inside the station or on the train. A minimum distance of 35 metres from the railway track is required for this.
