The poster invitation for the Nude Party in Chhattisgarh's Raipur has triggered a political storm as Congress has come down heavily on the ruling BJP government, accusing it of spreading obscenity.
The posters, which have gone viral on social media, stated that the nude party will be organised on September 21. The timing have also been mentioned on the posters which urged men and women to attend the party without clothes.
One of the poster touted the event as 'Raipur's Biggest Stranger Party'. The poster mentioned the party is being thrown by 'Aparichit Club'.
To attract the girls, an offer of buy one and get one has been announced on liquor, according to a report by NDTV. The police have taken note of the poster and started an investigation. Congress leader Kanhaiya Agarwal vowed to resist such incidents in the city.
Taking to social media, Aggarwal said, "After serving alcohol and drugs, now it is the turn of serving nudity... We will not let this event of 21 September happen in Raipur. We will not let our city get tarnished."
He has filed a complaint in the matter with the Raipur SSP. Reacting to the rising row, BJP said that such incident must not be politicised.
Deputy CM Vijay Sharma has said that strict action will be taken in the matter. Cabinet Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said, "I am very worried and sad about this. Today's young generation is not able to understand this. This is the country of Rishis, Munis and Saints. Such events should not be organized; one should not even think about this subject. Congress plays politics in everything. Efforts should be made to stop this by rising above party politics."
