Rajasthan: Three people were killed while 12 others were injured following a multi-vehicle collision triggered by dense fog in Rajasthan’s Bhilwara on Friday. The accident occurred around 7 am when six vehicles collided due to poor visibility on National Highway-58 near the Kothari Bridge on the Bhilwara-Ajmer Road.
Police with the help of local residents, rescued the injured passengers trapped in the damaged vehicles. The bodies of the deceased have been kept at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in Bhilwara, where relatives of the deceased and injured have begun arriving. The District Collector and Superintendent of Police (SP) also visited the accident site and later met the injured at the hospital.
Accident Triggers 10 Km Long Jam
The accident caused a traffic jam of approximately 10 km on the national highway. Traffic was completely halted for approximately three hours. Police eventually cleared the way for emergency vehicles and later restored normal traffic.

Dense fog continues to pose a serious threat on highways across Rajasthan, with officials urging drivers to exercise extreme caution during the morning commute. The Kotputli-Behror district remained shrouded in a thick blanket of fog for the third consecutive day on Friday.
On Thursday, four passengers died while five others were seriously injured after a road accident occurred in the early hours on the Agra-Jaipur National Highway, officials said.
A sleeper bus travelling from Kasganj to Jaipur collided with the rear of a trailer near Ludhawai bridge in the Sewar police station area. The collision was so severe that the front of the bus was completely destroyed. The accident occurred between 2:30 am and 3:00 am. Local residents rushed to help passengers trapped inside the bus and assisted police with the rescue operation.
