Rajasthan Bus-Truck Collision: At least three people were killed, and 28 others were injured, in a tragic collision between a sleeper bus and a truck late Tuesday night in Fatehpur, Shekhawati. The accident reportedly occurred at around 10:40 PM on Tuesday on the Jaipur-Bikaner National Highway, near Fatehpur , when the bus carrying Khatu Shyamji devotees collided with a truck.
The sleeper bus was en route from Bikaner to Jaipur, while the truck was travelling from Jhunjhunu to Bikaner, NDTV Rajasthan reported. The impact of the collision was so severe that it completely shattered the front of the bus, trapping several passengers in the wreckage.
Locals rushed to the scene and quickly alerted police and ambulance services. Emergency services arrived at the scene and transported the injured to the nearby hospital for treatment. Seven of them are in critical condition, the report added.
3 Killed In The Tragic Sleeper Bus-Truck Collision On Jaipur-Bikaner Highway
The tragic collision on the Jaipur-Bikaner Highway claimed the lives of bus passenger Mayank and the driver, Kamlesh, while the third deceased remains unidentified. The injured were transported to Sikar for advanced medical treatment.

Among those injured are Anant, Tushar (son of Arjun), Rajesh (son of Omprakash), Praveen (son of Babu Bhai), Ranjana (wife of Suresh Bhai), Mukta Ben (daughter of Shaitan Singh), Ashish (son of Ramlal), and Nilesh (son of Amit), along with others, NDTV Rajasthan reported.
Eyetwitnesses Recount Tragic Collision
Sheela Ben, a passenger occupying seat number two, survived the crash but suffered a fractured nose. Speaking to NDTV, Sheela said, "We were going to Khatushyamji," adding that the accident occurred when "Most of the passengers were asleep. I was with my son."
