Rajasthan Weather: The minimum temperature in several districts of Rajasthan fell significantly on Sunday due to the cold wave from the northern states. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that the minimum temperature in three cities dropped below zero degrees Celsius on Sunday night. It further stated that the temperature remained below 10 degrees Celsius in most of the districts. The northern parts of the state is likely to witness light to moderate rainfall in the upcoming days, leading to a further dip in the temperature. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings during the night hours.
The residents of several cities, including Jaipur, Nagaur, Sikar, Ajmer and Hanumangarh witnessed frost on their vehicles on Monday morning. The weather department stated that these cities have witnessed a sharp drop in temperature in last two to three days. It further stated that the residents will continue to witness cold wave for the next few days, adding that the temperature is likely to increase from the first week of February.

The weather department stated that temperature below zero degrees Celsius was recorded in Fatehpur (Sikar), Nagaur and Mount Abu (Sirohi). Apart from this, the minimum temperatures in several other regions, including Nagaur, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Churu, Hanumangarh and Jaipur remained below 5 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Rajasthan did not cross 23 degrees Celsius on Sunday, as the highest maximum temperature was recorded in Chittorgarh at 22.8 degrees Celsius.
A new weather system is likely to change weather conditions in several districts, including the capital city Jaipur. The northern regions of the state is likely to witness light rain in the next two to three days, leading to a further dip in the temperature. The residents and tourists have been advised to follow the guidelines and plan their travel accordingly.
