Rajasthan Weather: Rajasthan is bracing for more heavy rainfall as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast intense showers in 21 districts. The alert includes five districts under orange alert and sixteen under yellow alert, warning of potential thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds.
On Tuesday, 24 June, Jaipur witnessed a sudden change in weather as dark clouds rolled in, leading to a brief yet heavy 10-minute downpour. The city experienced fluctuating weather throughout the day, with intervals of sunshine and overcast skies.

A day earlier, on Monday, 23 June, multiple parts of the state received significant rainfall, ranging from 1 to 7 inches. Among the most affected were Alwar, Jaipur, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, and Baran districts, which saw the heaviest showers.
In Baran’s Mangrol region, torrential rain led to flood-like conditions, while Alwar streets were submerged under nearly three feet of water. In Hanumangarh, water entered residential homes, disrupting daily life. Heavy showers also hit Nagaur, Dausa, and Kotputli, causing traffic and drainage issues.

Jaipur remained drenched through most of Monday, with rainfall recorded throughout the day. The JLN Road area alone registered around 50 mm of rain, while Tonk Road saw severe waterlogging, affecting traffic flow. In Sanganer, 37 mm of rainfall led to water accumulation on key roads, adding to the city’s woes.

The IMD has advised residents to remain vigilant, especially in areas marked under alerts.
Yellow alert districts include: Kota, Sri Ganganagar, Ajmer, Baran, Bhilwara, Bundi, Jaipur, Jhalawar, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Tonk, Bikaner, Churu, Hanumangarh, and Nagaur.

These areas may face more heavy rain, accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds. Authorities have urged citizens to avoid low-lying areas and stay updated with official weather bulletins.
