Riya Barde, the adult film star and alleged Bangladeshi national, who was arrested on the charges of illegally staying in India, was reportedly represented by a large team of lawyers during a court hearing. Riya Barde alias Banna Sheikh, who also uses another name Arohi Barde was earlier arrested by Maharashtra police on multiple charges.

Thane police claimed that Barde was living illegally in India with her family and further, they obtained forged documents such as Aadhar cards and Indian passports. However, Barde's lawyers, reportedly at least seven in number, asked for evidence during a one-and-a-half-hour hearing in the court.

The Thane court sent Riya Barde in police custody for three days till October 1. Police are currently trying to locate her parents and siblings, who are allegedly absconding.

Riya Barde's Raj Kundra Connection Surfaces

According to a report published by Dainik Jagran, Riya was working as an adult film actor and was famous as Arohi Barde or Banna Sheikh in the industry. She reportedly worked in the adult films allegedly produced by the husband of Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra. Since her arrest, Riya Barde remained in the top trends in social media.

She was arrested on September 26 on the charges of being an illegal migrant and obtaining fake identity and other certificates. Hill Line Police has booked her under various BNS sections.

Mother, A Bangladeshi Citizen?

Reports suggested that while Riya Barde's mother is a Bangladeshi national, her father is reportedly a Maharashtrian man Arvind Barde. However, these reports are unconfirmed as yet.
