Bollywood actor Salman Khan has once again received a death threat, reportedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, as stated in a report by NDTV. The gang has demanded that Khan either pay Rs 5 crore or issue an apology if he wishes to remain safe.
This is the second threat Khan has received in just a week.
The message, sent via WhatsApp to the Mumbai Police traffic control room, stated: "This is Lawrence Bishnoi's brother speaking. If Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he should either go to our temple and apologize or pay Rs 5 crore. If he does not comply, we will kill him. Our gang is still active," according to the police.
The police said a comprehensive probe has been launched into the incident.
Notably, similar threats were received by Mumbai traffic control on October 30, which demanded Rs 2 crore from the actor. Slain NCP leader Baba Siddique’s son Zeeshan Siddique was also named in the threat message.
Later, a 20-year-old tattoo artist from Noida, Gufran Khan, had been arrested for threatening Salman Khan and Bandra East MLA Zeeshan Siddique.
The tattoo artist, who had been arrested by the Mumbai Police, said he had planned to send another threatening message to demand money but was apprehended before he could do so.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has time and again issued threats to Salman Khan. The notorious gang also claimed responsibility for the firing incident outside Khan’s Bandra house.
Mumbai police had heightened Salman Khan’s security following the recent threats.
