The Mumbai police on Friday launched an investigation after two men on a motorcycle allegedly conducted a recce outside the bungalow of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut in Bhandup on Friday, news agency PTI reported. Following this, police teams from the Mumbai police were deployed at the Shiv Sena (UBT) leader's residence.
The incident occurred around 9 am outside Raut's 'Maitri' bungalow, according to officials. The two individuals reportedly paused in front of the bungalow for a brief period before leaving the area.
"Two men came on a two-wheeler and stopped outside Raut's bungalow for some time and left the place," an official told news agency PTI. A few people waiting outside the bungalow noticed the two suspects and alerted Sunil Raut, the younger brother of the Sena (UBT) MP and local MLA.

However, no case has been filed so far in connection with this matter. The official added, "If anything serious is found in the detailed inquiry, a case will be registered against the suspects."
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA and Raut’s brother, Sunil Raut, said that a bike stopped in front of their house. He claimed that while the number plate was not visible, the bike appeared to be from Uttar Pradesh or Bihar.
Sunil Raut further mentioned that the two men on the bike were wearing full helmets and jackets, which made it difficult to identify them. He added that the men were carrying a total of 10 mobile phones and filmed footage of the house before leaving. Expressing concern about Sanjay Raut’s safety, Raut urged the police to take the matter seriously and conduct an investigation.
