Saudi Arabia Bus Accident Update: Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar on Monday confirmed the 45 deaths in the Saudi Arabia bus accident. At least 45 people were charred to death after a bus carrying 46 Indian Umrah pilgrims collided with a diesel tanker between Mecca and Medinah early on Monday. The Police Commissioner also confirmed that one individual has survived the devastating accident.

Saudi Arabia Hajj Pilgrims Bus Accident: Top Updates
-The Hyderabad police commissioner, addressing the press on Monday, confirmed that 45 of the total 46 people on the bus have lost their lives to the fatal road accident, which occurred nearly 25 kilometres before reaching Medina after a tourist bus collided with an oil tanker.
-The fire spread rapidly, leaving no time for most passengers to escape," he said.
-A total of 54 Umrah Pilgrims left Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana on November 9 for Jeddah for an Umrah trip that was scheduled from November 9 to November 23.
-8 people were able to avoid the accident because 4 of 54 people left Madinah in separate car and four others stayed back in Mecca for personal work. However, one person was able to survive the tragic accident.
-The fire engulfed the bus, and it was completely burnt at the spot, killing 45 of 46 on the bus. Surviver Md Abdul Shoaib has been admitted to a Saudi hospital ICU and is in critical condition.
Mecca-Madinah Bus Accident: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Condoles Victims
-Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday expressed condolences over the tragic accident. "Saddened by the tragic accident involving a bus carrying Indian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia. My condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones," Rajnath Wrote on X.
-Defence Minister further updated on the support being provided by the Indian government. "Indian officials are in close coordination with the Saudi authorities to ensure the injured receive proper care and that every possible support reaches the affected families in this hour of grief," Singh further said on X.
-Expressing 'deepest condolences' to the bereaved families, the Consulate General of India in Jeddah stated, "Embassy in Riyadh and the Consulate in Jeddah are also in touch with the Saudi Hajj and Umrah Ministry, and other local authorities. They are also in touch with the concerned Umrah operators."
Telangana CM Expresses Shock, Directs Officials In Delhi
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has expressed shock over the accident that killed 45 people from Telangana. According to a statement released by the CMO, CM has directed the officials in Delhi to stay in close touch and coordinate with the Indian Embassy in Riyadh for updated information.
Nampally MLA To Leave For Saudi Arabia To Help Bereaved Families
According to a report by The Hindu, Nampally MLA Mohammed Majid Hussain will travel to Saudi Arabia as part of his party's efforts to support the bereaved families. Many of the Victims were from Nampally in Hyderabad.

The Consulate General of India, Jeddah, has provided multiple contact numbers for assistance, including 8002440003 (toll-free), 00966122614093, 00966126614276, and 00966556122301 (WhatsApp), urging family members to reach out for immediate support.
The consulate has established a 24*7 control room following the catastrophic accident.
