With just a few days left in the Delhi Assembly Election 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday hit out at Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, saying “Sheesh Mahal" is an example of the deceit and lies of the ruling party in the national capital.

The BJP has labelled the official residence of Delhi's Chief Minister, once occupied by Arvind Kejriwal, as "Sheesh Mahal." PM Modi’s criticism came during his interaction with BJP workers in Delhi. The BJP has accused Kejriwal of misusing public funds to install extravagant amenities at his official bungalow.

PM Modi claimed that the central government covers the salaries of government employees and allocates funds for development. However, the "AAP-da" government has failed to utilize these funds effectively, neglecting crucial tasks such as repairing roads, upgrading sewerage systems, maintaining sanitation, and creating parks.

“They have been functioning based on lies, and think that this will continue. They have not completed their promises to the people,” he added.

Speaking about healthcare in Delhi, Modi said, "We have requested the people from 'AAP-da' to implement the Ayushman Bharat scheme for free healthcare in Delhi. But they don't want to implement it. I want to tell the people of Delhi that there are many benefits to this scheme. But the people of AAP-da have created obstacles in the implementation of this scheme."

Modi also claimed that if the BJP gains power in Delhi, he will personally ensure that the city’s residents receive the facilities they rightfully deserve.

Addressing party workers, the prime minister stated, "BJP considers the middle class the backbone of the Indian economy. Understanding the aspirations of the middle class, we are making all modern facilities in the country. But 'AAP-da' in Delhi has only caused trouble to the people of Delhi."

PM Modi also encouraged BJP workers to capture photos and videos on their phones as evidence of any civic facilities that the AAP government had pledged to improve but failed to deliver. He urged them to share this proof with every family in their locality to highlight the AAP's inefficiency.
