Haryana model Sheetal Choudhary's boyfriend, a married man with two children, has confessed to killing her. Sheetal was found dead in a canal in Sonipat’s Kharkhoda area with her throat slit on Monday, police said. She had been missing since June 14, and a report was filed in Panipat after she failed to return home.

The accused, Sunil, and the victim indulged in an altercation on Saturday night. The fight soon turned violent and Sunil beat her up before stabbing her multiple times. He finally threw the body into a canal. Sunil was found in a hospital in Panipat, where he confessed to killing Sheetal, also known as Simi, as per an NDTV report. The exact cause of the murder is not yet known.

Who Was Haryana-Based Model Sheetal?

Sheetal alias Simi, was a model associated with the Haryana music industry. Before entering modelling, she worked at a hotel in Karnal. Sheetal had joined the music industry just six months ago. According to a report by HT, she originally hailed from Khalila Majra village in Panipat.

What Sheetal’s Sister Said

Sheetal’s sister, Neha, filed a missing person report in Panipat on June 14 after Sheetal failed to return home from a Haryanvi album shoot in Ahar village, Sonipat, according to Sonipat ACP (Headquarters) Ajeet Singh. Neha said that Sheetal had called her that night, claiming her former friend, identified as Sunil from Panipat, had arrived at the shoot location and assaulted her.

“She also told me that Sunil was mounting pressure on her to go with her. Thereafter, her phone disconnected, and she was unreachable. On Sunday, Sunil’s car slipped into a canal in Delhi, and he was taken out by a passerby, but my sister was not in the car. We suspect that Sunil killed my sister, and he is concocting a false story. He is undergoing treatment in a hospital in Panipat,” Neha added, according to the HT report.

Neha alleged that Sheetal had befriended Sunil while working at his hotel in Karnal. “Sunil mounted pressure on her to tie a knot, but she came to know that he was already married and the father of two kids. Then, Sheetal left the job, but the hotel owner continued to chase her,” she added.
