Sikkim News: An official regulation has mandated that all tourist vehicles entering Sikkim carry a huge garbage bag. According to the directive released by the Tourism and Civil Aviation Department, the decision was made to guarantee community involvement in reaching the objective of environmental sustainability.

It stated that tour operators, travel companies, and drivers of motor vehicles will be in charge of educating passengers on the usage of garbage bags for disposing of waste.

The directive said that random inspections of tourist vehicles would be carried out to verify compliance and that any vehicle found to be in violation would face penalties.

Cleanliness awareness initiatives are being run, according to authorities, to teach visitors about environmental sustainability and waste management.
