Swati Maliwal Assault Case: Bibhav Kumar, the accused in the assault of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal, was produced at Tis Hazari Court on Saturday evening. The Delhi Police had requested 7-day custody of Kumar. Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing for Delhi Police, said that they had asked for a DVR and it was provided on a pen drive, but the footage was found to be blank. He also added that an iPhone has been given to the police, but the accused is not sharing the password. He further added that the phone had been formatted.

Mudit Jain, Bibhav’s lawyer, said that he has opposed the demand for remand. The court will release its order in some time, he added.
