Tamil Nadu Assembly Election Results 2021: Chief Minister MK Stalin-led DMK government is likely to retain power in Tamil Nadu as the party-led alliance is predicted to win a comfortable majority in the Assembly elections 2026. Almost all the pollsters, except JVC, Axis My India and Kamakhya Analytics, have predicted DMK's victory.
While pollster JVC has predicted AIADMK-led NDA's win, Kamakhya Analytics has suggested no clear majority, while Axis My India has suggested a nail-biting contest between DMK and TVK.

In 2021, all pollsters predicted DMK alliance's win with a thumping majority, which proved to be accurate. The DMK alliance, including Congress and others, won 159 seats, with DMK alone crossing the majority mark. The AIADMK-led NDA was reduced to 75 seats.
A comparison with the 2026 Exit Polls
If the projections in Exit Polls 2026 turn out to be accurate, DMK-led SPA will win the elections but with a dent in the number of seats. For NDA, on the other hand, the poll battle could end up with a repeated performance.
According to projections, TVK's debut with a decent fight in the election suggests that it has dented the ruling DMK.
