Tamil Nadu Shocker: A video of a father abusing his young son went viral online, sparking widespread outrage over a terrifying child abuse incident in Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu. The father, Karthikeyan, is shown in the video, which went viral, acting violently and cruelly towards his son. The man even slapped the youngster with a hot iron and strangled him.

The incident started when Karthikeyan's wife, Abirami, left him because he was an alcohol addict and failed to take care of his family. Abirami placed her son in Karthikeyan's care two months ago when she moved out of their house in the hopes that the responsibility would cause him to behave differently. But the father's behavior took a startling and aggressive turn.

Two weeks ago, Karthikeyan recorded a distressing video of himself assaulting his son and gave it to his wife and her relatives. He later shared the video on social media, where it quickly gathered traction and piqued the interest of worried viewers.

The video, which shows the defenseless infant wailing while being subjected to brutal treatment, generated outrage and prompted an anonymous tip to the child helpline.

Following the viral video, local police conducted an investigation and filed a report of child abuse. The police were able to find Karthikeyan and rescue the child, but not before the father tried a suicide scenario. Karthikeyan faked to hurt himself at home, and the police, assuming the situation was serious, transported him to a government hospital for treatment. However, while at the hospital, Karthikeyan escaped, only to return hours later.

Karthikeyan may have been drunk when the incident occurred, according to the police. When officials stepped in, it was evident that he had injured the youngster, causing burns from the hot iron. While the inquiry is ongoing, the youngster, who is currently under police protection, is being cared for and supported.
