Railways News: The Railways on Monday stated that several trains from Delhi to the northern states have been running late due to the presence of dense fog, especially in the morning hours. It further stated that the long-distance trains to several states, including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand, have been facing delays of over ten hours. The authority state that while the situation is not likely to significantly improve in the upcoming days, necessary steps are being taken to minimise the inconveniences. The Railways has advised the passengers of these states to follow the guidelines and plan their travel accordingly.
While providing details, the Railways stated that 70 trains arriving in Delhi on Monday have been running late by two to fifteen hours due to the dense fog. It further stated that their late arrival has also affected the departure times in the return direction. Apart from the long-distance trains, several passenger trains have also been operating late, leading to inconvenience to the daily commuters.

New Delhi-Firozpur Intercity Express by 2 hours
Anand Vihar Terminal-Jogbani Seemanchal Express by 1.5 hours
The dense fog has also affected the flight services at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in the past few days. Several airlines, including Air India and IndiGo, have issued advisories for the passengers, advising them to stay updated and plan their travel accordingly.
