On the eighth day of the second expansion of his government, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath distributed portfolios among six newly inducted ministers and two promoted Ministers of State.

Manoj Pandey, who backed the BJP during the Rajya Sabha elections and later reaffirmed his support for the party, has been assigned the Food and Civil Supplies Department, which oversees the state’s free ration distribution scheme.

Bhupendra Chaudhary, who returned to the cabinet after completing his tenure as the state BJP president, has been given charge of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department, a key portfolio that also oversees the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme.

Ajit Singh Pal, elevated from Minister of State (Independent Charge), has been allotted the Food Safety and Drug Administration Department.

Somendra Tomar, also promoted to Minister of State (Independent Charge), has been assigned the Political Pension, Ex-Servicemen Welfare, and Provincial Armed Constabulary (PRD) departments.
