A private helicopter on Saturday made an emergency landing in Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag district due to a technical fault, the officials stated. They further stated that the helicopter made the helicopter landing in Guptkashi, adding that all the passengers are safe. While providing details, Uttarakhand ADG Law and Order Dr V Murugeshan stated that the pilot landed the helicopter on the road due to a technical fault, reported ANI.

The viral video shows that the helicopter crashes a car while landing on the road, creating panic among the locals. However, the officials stated that no one got injured while the emergency landing as there was no one present in the car when the helicopter landed. Murugeshan stated that the helicopter belonged to Crestel Aviation Private Limited and was carrying the devotees when it landed.

While providing details, the Murugeshan stated that the chopper was carrying the devotees to the famous Kedarnath temple from Sirsi. He added that the technical fault led to the emergency landing on the road instead of a helipad. However, he assured that the other helicopters are operating as per schedule.

"DGCA has been informed. The rest of the shuttle operations are going on normally as per schedule," Murugeshan was quoted as saying by ANI. Earlier in May, six tourists, including pilot, died in a helicopter crash in Uttarkashi district. The officials stated that the deceased were identified as Kala Soni (61), Vijaya Reddy (57), Ruchi Aggarwal (56) from Mumbai, Radha Aggarwal (79) from Uttar Pradesh and Vedavati Kumari (48) from Andhra Pradesh.

"May God grant peace to the souls of those who died in the accident and give strength to the bereaved families to bear this immense loss," Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami had stated in a post on X.
