Uttarakhand Road Accident: In a tragic road accident in Uttarakhand, eight people died and others got injured after a vehicle carrying 13 passengers crashed in Pithoragarh district on Tuesday. The officials stated that the vehicle crashed near the Suni bridge in Muwani town, leading to panic among the locals. They further stated that all the injured passengers are receiving treatment at a local hospital.

While providing details, Pithoragarh SP Rekha Yadav stated that the rescue operation is underway. "Eight people died after a vehicle carrying 13 people crashed near the Suni bridge in Muwani town. The police officials have reached the spot and rescue operations are underway," Yadav was quoted as saying by ANI.

While reacting to the incident, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his condolences to the bereaved families and further directed the officials to take necessary actions.

"Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his condolences to the bereaved families. The chief minister has directed the district administration and relief and rescue teams to expedite the rescue operation. He has asked to ensure that proper and free medical facilities are provided to the injured on time," the Chief Minister's Office stated in a post on X.
