Vande Bharat Express Cancelled: Indian Railways has announced the cancellation of Vande Bharat Express running between New Delhi and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra for the next 50 days. The move comes in view of the ongoing repair work at Jammu railway station, affecting rail traffic severely. Trains coming to Pathankot, Jammu, Udhampur and Katra are affected due to reconstruction. As a result the semi-high-speed train will be unavailable till March 6, 2025, jagran.com reported.
Following the cancellation, devotees coming to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra for darshan will face problems. A total of 65 trains have been cancelled for the next 50 days. Apart from this, many trains have also been rescheduled. They will run from other railway stations instead of Jammu Tawi Railway Station.
“During the two-month service closure, those planning to travel to Katra for leisure or religious purposes are expected to be the most impacted,” the Northern Railways stated in a recent notice.

Vande Bharat Express Cancelled: List Of Trains Cancelled
Apart from the Vande Bharat Express, several other train services will be disrupted due to the ongoing redevelopment at Jammu station. These include the cancellation of the Jammu Tawi-Barmer and Barmer-Jammu Tawi trains (numbers 14662 and 14661), and the short termination of train number 19223 (Gandhinagar Capital to Jammu Tawi), which will now terminate at Pathankot. Additionally, the origin-destination for train number 19224 (Jammu Tawi to Gandhinagar Capital) has been moved to Pathankot.
These cancellations and changes in train schedules will affect passengers who have already confirmed tickets or travel plans in the region. The railway authorities have advised all affected passengers to check updated train schedules in advance to avoid inconvenience.
