Bengaluru, the IT hub of India, is again going viral, highlighting the huge rush of the city's daily commuters. The rush is not just limited to the roads but also the Bengaluru metro. A video is going viral on the internet depicting a heavily crowded metro train during peak hours, resembling the hustle of Mumbai's local trains.
The video shows passengers cramming inside the metro, while a long queue forms outside. Even the door of the train can't get shut properly due to the crowd. The caption aptly describes the situation as "Morning rush-hour scenes with Bangalore Metro. Poor headway management." The video has gained over 76,000 views and sparked discussions on social media.
Commuters in big cities are accustomed to the chaos at metro stations, where passengers vie for a spot on the train. The viral video brings attention to the challenge of boarding a metro in a metro city, particularly in the ladies' coach.
Comparisons between Bengaluru Metro and Mumbai local quickly emerged. Some users noted the similarities in the daily struggles faced by commuters. However, not everyone agreed with this comparison, emphasising factors like crowd size and office hours. Despite its challenges, Bengaluru's metro system remains vital for countless commuters.
