Visuals of a priest offering prayer at 'Vyas Ji ka Tehkhana' inside Gyanvapi Mosque premises are getting viral across social media platforms. This came after the Varanasi court on Wednesday allowed the Hindu side to worship at Vyas’ Tehkhana, which is the southern cellar on the premises of Gyanvapi mosque in Varanasi.
Vishnu Shankar Jain, a Supreme Court lawyer who represented the Hindu side in the Gyanvapi case, has shared the video on X.

Earlier, while talking to ANI, Jain said the state government complied with the orders of the court and a regular puja started in the basement of Vyas ji at Gyanvapi mosque. "The state government has complied with the court order, barricading has been done there. The deities who were present there have been brought back to life." Pooja has been established and regular puja has been started in the basement of Vyas ji," he said.
As per the Hindu side, Vyas’ family used to perform puja in the basement till 1993. However, it stopped following the order of the state government. The basement was cleaned during the archaeological survey last year after four Hindu women moved the Supreme Court seeking excavation and scientific survey of a sealed section of the mosque.
The order of Varanasi court came in this regard hours after Allahabad High Court noted ASI report on Gyanvapi was "worth considering". A notice was also served to the Anjuman Intezamia Masajid Committee in this regard. The survey report submitted last month concluded that "there existed a Hindu temple before the construction of the existing structure" at the Gyanvapi mosque complex.
