Weather Alert: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain for five days, March 9-13 in Himachal Pradesh. As per the weather body, the western disturbance will bring a change in the weather, which may also lead to snowfall in high altitude areas and rain in other areas. Apart from this, heatwaves are expected to intensify over the coming days in various regions. IMD has forecast warm conditions over Konkan and Goa from March 9-11. Madhya Maharashtra is likely to experience similar conditions on March 9. Additionally, hot and humid conditions are likely to prevail over Coastal Karnataka and Konkan and Goa on March 9. Gujarat is expected to endure similar conditions from March 9-11, while Kerala-Mahe and Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on March 8.

Himachal Weather

According to IMD forecast, light snowfall is expected in the high mountain areas of the state on March 9. After this, rain and snowfall may occur in the mid-mountainous and high mountain areas on March 10. Similar conditions are likely to prevail on March 11, 12 and 13. During this time, there is a possibility of rain in the plains and snowfall in the hilly areas. Snowfall may occur especially in the upper regions of Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Chamba and Kullu districts.

North India Weather

A fresh western disturbance brewing over the Western Himalayan region is expected to affect different states from March 9. Under its influence, scattered widespread light to moderate rain and snowfall is likely to impact Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad from March 9-13. Uttarakhand will receive rain from March 10-13. Additionally, Punjab will likely get isolated light to moderate rain on March 12 and 13 and Arunachal Pradesh on March 8.

Delhi Weather

Delhi woke up to clear skies and a crisp morning on Saturday, March 8. Strong surface winds will sweep through the city, keeping the weather dry and breezy throughout the day. According to IMD, the day will start on a chilly note at 12 degrees Celsius, gradually warming up to 31 degrees Celsius by the afternoon. With no rain in sight, Delhiites can expect a bright, breezy, and pleasant day ahead.

Delhiites can expect misty mornings followed by clear, warm afternoons in the coming days. While the winds will offer some relief, staying hydrated and wearing sun protection is advised for those venturing outdoors.
