Weather Update:  The temperature has once again started rising in the capital city of Delhi. As per the weather department, a further rise in the temperature could be witnessed on Thursday and Friday, which may cause discomfort to the people. The impact of this is observed across several other states, including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, and Punjab, as people have started feeling warmth in the air during the daytime. In Delhi’s Narela, the temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 41.2 degrees Celsius. According to the weather department, this situation is expected to continue for the next two days, and there will be no relief from the heat.  

The forecast, however, suggests a bit of respite from the excessive heat is likely on April 13 due to light rain.

Rain Alert In Bihar:

The weather department has issued a rain and storm alert in seven districts of Bihar. Warnings have been issued regarding light rain, thunderstorms, and lightning in one or two places in the southern parts of Bhavua, Aurangabad, Rohtas, Gaya, Nawada, Jamui, and Banka. Wind speed of 30-40 kilometres per hour is expected along with gusts in these areas.

On Wednesday, the maximum temperature in Patna was recorded at 38.1 degrees Celsius, while the highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded at 40.4 degrees Celsius in Sheikhpura and Jiradei. Despite partial clouds in the afternoon in Patna and surrounding areas on Wednesday, there was no significant impact of severe heat and heatwave. Light rain was recorded at 0.1 millimetres in the Gaya district. An increase in maximum temperature was observed in 16 cities including Patna.

Similarly, a slight downpour is expected in some parts of Uttar Pradesh as well.

Temperature Drops In Himachal:

The people in Himachal got a bit of respite from the hot weather as the sky remained cloudy throughout the day. The mercury is expected to further drop due to light rain and snowfall.
