Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that several parts of northern states are set to witness light to moderate rainfall for the next few days. The weather department stated that a western disturbance will cause fresh snowfall in the hilly regions, leading to a drop in temperature. The northern states are set to witness a cold wave and fog for the next few days. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.
The residents of Delhi-NCR witnessed light rainfall and a gentle breeze in the early hours of Sunday. While the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 20 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is set to remain around 11 degrees Celsius. The continuous rainfall is likely to lead to waterlogging in several key regions, leading to inconveniences for the residents.

The weather department stated that several districts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar have also witnessed rain in the late hours of Saturday. The western parts of Uttar Pradesh are set to witness a further drop in the temperature and a cold wave for the next few days. The IMD has advised the farmers to follow the guidelines and protect their crops.
The hilly regions of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu and Kashmir are also set to witness fresh snowfall, leading to a further drop in the temperature. The continuous snowfall has led to the closure of at least 800 roads in these states, leading to inconveniences for the tourists and the locals. The IMD has advised the tourists to stay updated and plan their travel accordingly.
Several districts of Punjab and Haryana are set to witness a cold wave and dense fog, especially in the early hours. The presence of fog has severely disrupted the train and flight services in these states, leading to inconveniences for the passengers.
