Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday stated that several states are likely to witness light to heavy rainfall in the upcoming few days. The weather department stated that while the coastal regions are expected to witness thunderstorms and gusty winds along with heavy rain, the other regions will also receive light to moderate rain. The weather department stated that the continuous rainfall is likely to provide relief from the scorching heat by reducing the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius. However, the excessive rainfall is also likely to lead to issues like waterlogging in multiple cities, leading to inconveniences. The IMD has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.

The weather department stated that several regions of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are likely to witness moderate to heavy rainfall for the next two to three days. It further stated that several other states, including Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, and Jharkhand, are also expected to witness thunderstorms and strong surface winds for the next few days. The IMD has advised the residents of these states to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.
