Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday stated that several states are likely to witness light to heavy rainfall for the next few days. The weather department stated that apart from rainfall, multiple areas are also set to experience thunderstorms and gusty winds. The continuous rainfall is expected to provide relief from the scorching heat by reducing the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius. However, several key cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai are also likely to witness waterlogging, leading to inconvenience to the commuters. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.

Delhi weather: Rain likely for few days

- The IMD stated that several areas of the national capital, including East Delhi, Central Delhi, South East Delhi and Shahdara are set to witness rain on Sunday.

- The residents of the national capital are likely to witness cloudy skies and gentle breeze for the next few days.

- The heavy rain might lead to waterlogging in several key areas, leading to traffic congestion.

Uttar Pradesh weather: These districts to witness rain

- The weather department stated that several districts, including Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras and Etah are set to witness moderate to heavy rain.

- Apart from this, several other districts, including Agra, Firozabad, Bijnor and Moradabad are likely to receive light rain, along with gentle breeze.

MP weather: Rain expected in multiple districts

- The IMD stated that several districts of Madhya Pradesh, including Khandwa, Khargone, Barwani, Burhanpur, Alirajpur, Dhar, Narmadapuram, Betul, and Harda are set to witness light to moderate rain.

- Apart from this, several other districts, including Chhindwara, Narsinghpur and Pandhurna are likely to heavy rain along with thunderstorms and gusty winds.

The IMD stated that several western and southern states are also set to witness rain for the next few days.
